We procured this unit from a laboratory who was downsizing and “never used” this unit. It is nearly brand new (still has paper instructions on the rotor shaft), has been tested, and works perfectly.
The Thermo Fisher SPD111V SpeedVac Concentrator provides compact, benchtop drying for biological and non-biological materials. This small-capacity concentrator has capacities of 0.4 to 100 ml tubes or 2 microliter plates, achieved by swapping rotors for flexible use.
The Thermo SPD111V has an integrated automatic bleeder valve allowing for walk-away start and stops, and independent timer functions for both heat and runs. The temperature range of this speed vac concentrator is between 35-85°C, and the timer will run up to 10 hours. This microprocessor-controlled speed vac has membrane touch pad switches and displays time and temperature settings. This speed vac also features a safety cover lock, and PTFE coated interior for chemical resistance and can be matched up with a cold trap, vacuum pump, or chemical trap to round out a concentration system.
