TBJ downdraft workstations are manufactured in such a way that pulls air and hazardous airborne toxins such as odors, vapors, and aerosols away from the face and breathing zone of users.
This type of design provides healthier working conditions that are safer for everyone—even for those not near the designated area. By installing one of our downdraft workstation you’ll be generating workplace efficiency through the means of cleaner, more breathable air. This is a custom designed work bench engineered to provide a ventilated workstation for animal grossing, necropsies, surgeries, perfusions, and dissections. Downdraft workstation pulls air, odors, vapors, and aerosols down and away from the face of personnel when connected to a negative air source. Chemicals such as formalin, alcohol, and xylene are controlled and can be kept below OSHA-permissible exposure limits, providing a health-safe work environment. This table connects to house exhaust and pulls air down through the center, ventilated sink basin. Table has 15 amp outlet for connecting powered supplies like heating plates, surgical lights, stir plates, etc. Table also has pass through Oxygen spigot to allow surgical procedures to be performed on table. Also has optional water wash down hose to rinse specimens and make procedure cleanup a breeze.
This table is brand new (manufactured March 2023) and still on the crate as shipped from the manufacturer. We curated this table from a biotech that purchased this table, then had construction plans change and were no longer able to use the unit. We removed the original shipping cling wrap just to photograph the table.
Comes with stainless exhaust plenum/ducting to connect to house HVAC. Plenum measures 4" x 12" x 91"
